i often give mixtapes as gifts or thank yous.
i often give them because i see music as the greatest gift of all.
i don't take it lightly. i make them with such care and love.
because when i receive mixtapes and cds, i cherish them more than anything money can buy.
people have said more with music than they have with general words. it's why we sing in church, why we dance at weddings and why we turn into completely different people when certain songs come on or when we see our favourite band live.
go make a mixed cd. leave it on a bench somewhere. leave a note with it.
that cd with those songs could say more to a person than anything that has been said to them before.
and sometimes, all we need is a soundtrack.
